The construction is modular: the basic module is composed by 2
manipulating heads (grippers). The 2 heads are placed side by side end
each head takes care of forming half layer. This allows to minimize the
footprint, with considerable advantage for the installation and intervention by
the machine operators. For complicated palletisation patterns or
high production speeds additional module with 1 or 2 heads can be
added, in series with the basic module. |

The movement of the heads on the horizontal surface is
according to polar axis (߰, Z), instead of the traditional cartesian
axis (X,Y). This allows to reduce the inertial strengths at parity of
accelerations, thus improving the translation speeds and the positioning
precision. |
